Strategy

1. The realization or priority projects on establishing and launching mass production of potential aircraft engines:

  • SaM-146 engines
  • Group of prospective engines for civil aviation with thrust of 9-18 T
  • Group of prospective engines for military aviation
  • Group of prospective helicopter engines.

2. Strengthening UEC's position in the top five global producers of gas-turbine technology, founded on the base of aircraft engine construction.

3. The long-term retention of at least 70% of the Russian gas-turbine technology market, created on the base of aviation technology, in particular to meet the demands of UAK (United Aircraft Corporation), Russian Helicopters Company, Gazprom, Rosneft, Rosatom, municipal entities, and federal departments.

4. Aiming products at the global market. Cooperation with technological leaders. Alliances on regional markets. Bringing the share of UEC products placed on the non-domestic market up to 40% of the company's total production by 2020, particularly due to active work in India, China, the Middle East, and CIS countries.

5. Implementing 'lean production' practices in all UEC enterprises by 2011.

6. The realization of a unified technology policy, specialized and concentrated production, the development of cooperation and competency centers, including the creation of competency centers for foundry, vaned, and instrumental production.

7. The development and realization of measures, including measures of state support, providing cardinal reduction in UEC's debt burden and a way forward for the company to a state of efficient functioning.

8. The creation of systems of after-sales service for UEC products, in accordance with international standards, and obtaining international certification for these systems as soon as possible.

9. Building modern management systems within the company on the basis of a programmatic design approach. Creating and implementing corporate standards of project management, including stage-gate systems.

10. Implementing systems of knowledge management, creating a corporate university, organizing continuing education and staff development, developing and implementing professional standards, forming a talent pool.
