Urals Energy for Perm Oilmen

In February 2011, Aviadvigatel and LUKOIL Trade House signed an agreement to supply a 4-mW gas turbine plant for the utilization of associated petroleum gas at Ilyichevsk Oil&Gas Field developed by LUKOIL-Perm OOO.

This is the second order placed by LUKOIL-Perm with Ural-4000 gas turbine plant: Back in June 2010, Globalstroy Engineering OAO and Aviadvigatel OAO signed a similar deal for supply of the Ural to Gezh Oil&Gas Line operated by OOO UralOil.

Pursuant to the contract with LUKOIL Trade House, the Aviadvigatel employees will secure shipment of the equipment to Ilyichievskoye Field, Kungur, provide designerís supervision over assembly, intra-block assembly, commissioning and customerís staff training. The gas turbine power plant will be supplied together with the automatic fire extinguishing system and two booster compressor stations.

Ural-4000 will generate power to cover the needs of the Ilyichievsk Field through utilization of associated petroleum gas. Due to high content of hydrogen sulfide, the Perm design bureau employees will make appropriate changes to GTU-4P, the ďheartĒ of the power plant.

GTU-4P, Russia's only in its class, has an environmental certificate of compliance issued by the Russian State Committee for Environmental Protection. In all, Perm enterprises have designed and manufactured more than 30 gas turbines of this type. Their total capacity amounted to 136mW as of early February 2011, and their total operating hours stand at more than 1 million hours. The running time of the leader unit is about 70,000 hours (Konitlor, Surgutneftegas OAO).

Gas turbine power plants with the capacity of 4mW are now successfully operated in Agidel, Bolsheustikinskoe (Bashkirenergo OAO), Gastello (Sakhalin Energy Investment Company), Prirazlomnoye Field (RN-Energo OOO), Vuktyl (Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta OOO), etc. A high degree of operational readiness, reliability and cogeneration cycle efficiency are among the main advantages of the Perm-made gas turbines.

The manufacture and delivery of the Ural-4000 gas turbines to Ilyichievskoye Field are scheduled for this November. The tentative commissioning date is set for March 2012. Over the next three years, LUKOIL Trade House OOO plans to order three similar gas turbines for the same field.
