NPO Saturn specialist Vladimir Ptitsyn awarded the Order for Merit for the Fatherland, 2nd Class, by presidential decree

The ceremony presenting awards of the Russian Federation and Yaroslavl region took place on June 10 in Yaroslavl, at the Yaroslavl Museum, with Yaroslavl regional governor Sergei Vakhrukov in attendance.

NPO specialist Vladimir Vasilevich Ptitsyn was presented with the Order for Merit for the Fatherland, 2nd Class, in gratitude for his significant contribution to the development of the military-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, and his years of conscientious work. It was designated by Presidential Decree 405, On the conference of state awards of the Russian Federation, dated April 5, 2011.

Vladimir Vasilevich has worked at OAO NPO Saturn since 1975. He works on developing, fine-tuning, and following through the production of the combustion chambers of gas turbine engines. Since 1985 he has actively pursued his interests in new inventions and labor-saving ideas, and holds 11 copyrights and 14 patents in Russia, ten of which have been implemented in the combustion chambers of engines developed at Saturn. His most significant engineering solutions are those related to customizing engines improving ground and altitude acceleration, increasing fuel combustion efficiency, and reducing harmful emissions. These developments enhance resources and have industry-wide implications.
