Perm Engine Company made 48 gas turbine units, 32 of which were for Gazprom, in 2011

In 2011 Perm Engine Company manufactured and delivered to the customer 48 gas turbine units, including 13 GTUs for use in power installations and 35 for gas compressor units. It repaired 48 units.

The primary customer for Perm-built GTUs was, as in previous years, Gazprom  27 of the 48 new GTUs were delivered to compressor stations on the Nord Stream, Bovanenkovo-Ukhta, SRTO-Torzhok, and Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipelines. Nine GTUs were built for LUKOIL-Western Siberia. The most in-demand units were the GTU-16P wit 16 MW capacity (21 made), and the GTU-25P with 25 MW capacity (13 made).

The business plan for 2012 envisages 30% growth in GTU deliveries to clients. Perm Engine Company plans to make 60 new units and conduct repairs on a further 67 gas turbine units.

Alexey Mikhalyov, managing director of Perm Engine Company: Today we deliver our products for industrial applications to more than twenty companies, but our core client remains Gazprom. Eighty percent of all the GTUs we make in Perm are for the big gas company. In 2012 we will mark 20 years of our cooperation with Gazprom. This is a notable event not only for the engine-builders, but for a whole raft of industrial enterprises in the Perm region who are part of the Ural-Gazprom program. Gazprom orders have breathed new life into factories that had been languishing without work since the early 90s. I would like to note that in the third quarter of 2012, the Perm Engine Company assembly line will roll out the 500th gas turbine unit it has produced for Gazprom.

Additional information: Perm Engine Company makes gas turbine units with capacity from 2.5 to 25 MW, in twelve types. Since 1994, the company has made and delivered 620 units. The GTU-16P is the most popular gas turbine unit made by Perm Engine Company  208 have been made and delivered.
