Perm Engine Company Finished Equipping the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta Gas Pipeline

Perm/March 20, 2012 The Perm Engine Company delivered four GTU-25P gas turbine units to the Gagaratskaya and Usinskaya compressor stations on the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta trunk gas pipeline, completing delivery of its GTUs for the Gazprom pipeline.

Perm gas turbine units were previously installed at the Yarynskaya and Baidaratskaya compressor stations. A total of 21 GTUs and four reserve engines produced by PMZ have been delivered to the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta pipeline, which have been installed at four compressor stations along the pipeline. Three of them use 15 GTU-25P 25 mW capacity units, and the Baidaratskaya station uses 6 GTU-16P 16 mW capacity units. The installation of different types of gas turbine units enables each section of the pipeline to transport gas at designed through-put capacity.

Alexey Mikhalev, Perm Engine Company Managing Director:

“We see the timely delivery of gas turbine units and ongoing work to improve their reliability as our obligations in partnership with Gazprom. In building and operating gas pipelines, Gazprom is fulfilling important social and economic goals set at the state level, and the Perm Engine Company team makes its own uniquely important contribution to these efforts.”

Additional information: Bovanenkovo-Ukhta is a pipeline under construction to export Russian gas, with a length of 1,100 km and a capacity of 140 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
