Perm Engine Company at the International Salon Engines 2012

Moscow/17.04.2012. The International Salon Engines 2012 got underway on April 17 in pavilion 57 of the All-Russian Exhibition Center. The opening ceremony included the deputy Minister for Industry and Trade Igor Karavaev, the president of the International Association of Engine-builders Viktor Chuiko, and managing director of the United Engine Corporation DmitryKolodyazhny.

This year the only international specialized forum for engine building marks its 20th anniversary.

This year the salon will include more than 130 companies from eight countries. They include representation at the UEC MC and OBORONPROM stand for the United Engine Corporation. Perm Engine Company holds its honored place among these companies, as its products include a full-size model of the fourth generation PS-90A2 aviation engine  a perfected version of the PS-90A mass produced engine, developed in partnership with the Pratt&Whitney company.

Oboronprom managing director Andrei Reus came along to see the exhibitions and discuss topical issues facing sector companies. As part of his meetings with Perm Engine Company managing director AlekseyMikhalyov and Aviadvigatel managing director AleksandrInozemtsev, he discusses the issues of implementing the PD-14 program, meeting PMZs current production orders, and cooperating with the United Aviation Construction Corporation on contracts to deliver aviation engines made in Perm, including for the Il-476 project.

As part of the salon there is a Scientific Conference on Engine Building. It will include about 150 presentations in 12 thematic symposiums. Particular attention will be paid to the potential developments from scientific centers working on the PD-14 engine and the specifics of its construction.


Perm Engine Company (PMZ) mass produces aviation engines for civil and military applications, as well as industrial gas turbine units for power stations and gas transportation.

PMZ is a part of the United Engine Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OBORONPROM specializing in engine-building assets.
