The packed seminar program included practical and theoretical exercises on the subjects: ‘The basics of energy management’, ‘organizational and economic methods of determining an industrial enterprise’s energy conservation reserves’, ‘managing staff in energy management at an industrial enterprise’, and so on. The teachers and seminar presenters included AlekseyKudinov, developer of the ISO 16001:2009 system of energy management, Olga Goldina, expert in standardizing energy resources, AleksandrKlychkov, member of the expert panel of the International Forum of Innovative Technologies InfoSpase under the administration of the Russian president for innovations in energy companies and energy efficiency.
At the end of the seminar the organizers awarded the leadership of Perm Engine Company with a letter of thanks in which they said that ‘in the course of our work we received information about energy conservation and activities to improve energy efficiency at PMZ, which will allow us to transfer tasks and questions facing OBORONPROM into practical actions.’
Olga Kazarinova, leading specialist from the energy department at Perm Engine Company and seminar participant:
"The seminar was at a very high level. The teachers shared their subjects in a very detailed and accessible way, and there were several practical exercises. Now at our company we are implementing several projects to reduce expenses on energy, water, and heating, and by 2013 we will have conducted an internal energy audit, so the knowledge we gained from this seminar will no doubt be useful. It would be great if we could have this kind of seminar just for Perm Engine Company specialists, so that not just employees of the energy department but although those from the finance, legal, and production departments could learn as well. The subject of energy management is a global one, encompassing all areas of business; therefore it is essential to make its importance clear to every employee.
AlekseyMikhailyov, Perm Engine Company managing director:
"It is important to us that the seminar on this topical and relatively new for industrialists subject took place at the Perm Engine Company. The conference was a powerful impulse for long-term development of energy efficiency projects at our company. Implementing these projects is very important for our factory, since reducing expenditures on energy resources is one of the best ways to increase overall production efficiency.
