PMZ managing director AlekseyMikhailyov congratulates Perm region governor Viktor Basargin on his new position

Perm/11.05.2012 On May 5, Perm Engine Company managing director AlekseyMikhailyov took part in a celebration to welcome new Perm region governor Viktor Basargin to his job. In his address from the PMZ team to the new head of the region, he said:

“Please accept the warmest congratulations from the Perm engine builders on your new position as governor of the Perm region!

We know you as a native son of Ural industry, as a man of progressive attitudes, an experienced manager who has come through the school of industrial and state management, and is deeply interested in developing high-tech manufacturing and the social infrastructure of our region.

The Perm Engine Company, part of the United Engine Corporation, holds a special place in the economy of the region and its capital. It is the largest domestic producer of aviation engines for long-haul and transport aircraft and of gas turbine units for the country’s gas transportation system.

Today our main goals are full-scale modernization of manufacturing, and establishing production of the fifth generation engine. We are solving these tasks in close cooperation with and support from the government of the Perm region.

I am sure that with your participation this productive partnership will be further strengthened and will give life to many effective projects aimed at improving the company, the sector, the Perm region, and Russia. We will do everything we can to ensure that your beginning as governor is successful and fruitful!”
