United Engine Corporation takes part in Farnborough International Airshow 2012

Farnborough. June 9, 2012 UEC includes nine companies that specialize in developing and producing complex, modern technical products — rocket and aviation engines, industrial gas turbine units for transporting gas in the country’s major gas pipelines, and equipment for power installations, municipal and agricultural applications, coal, refining, and other industrial sectors, both in Russia and abroad.

At the 2012 Farnborough International Airshow, the United Engine Corporation presented a full-scale model of its upcoming PD-14 engine, being developed specially for the new MS-21 airplane, and Russia’s first major development in engine building in twenty years. Visitors were also treated to a real example of the SaM146 engine, installed in the SukhoiSuperjet 100 passenger aircraft. This aviation engine was developed in cooperation with French company Snecma and is made in Russia. In 2010 it became the first Russian-made engine to receive certification from the European Aviation Safety Authority (EASA).
