PMZ prepares for the final stage of the QMS certification audit for AS/EN9100

Perm/28.09.2012 The Perm Engine Company has completed the first (preliminary) stage of the certification audit of Quality Management Systems to meet the international ISO 9001 and AS/EN9100 standards. The goals of the first stage were preliminary evaluation of the companys QMS compliance with AS/EN9100 standards, and rating the companys readiness to proceed to the second stage an immediate audit. As a part of the audit, the expert certifying body Bureau Veritas Rus conducted an analysis of the upper-level QMS documentation, and rated the efficiency of QMS management processes. The expert named the factors which could result in non-compliance with the AS/EN9100 standards, and made recommendations on how to improve efficiency in management processes and QMS. The plan for events to prepare for the second stage of the audit includes, among other things, conducting an analysis of customer satisfaction for this year and creating PMZ Goals on quality for 2013, taking into account the results of such an analysis. The second stage of the QMS certification audit to meet AS/EN 9100 standards is scheduled for December 2012. This is a full audit of the company including visits to all departments that are involved in making aviation engines. Based on the results of this second stage, after the implementation of corrections, Perm Engine Company will be recommended for a compliance certificate.
