Perm Engine Company employees get first housing certificates with support of Sberbank Russia

Perm/29.08.2012 On August 15, Perm Engine Company managing director Aleksey Mikhailyov presented 15 company employees with named, numbered certificates of participation in the corporate housing program, being implemented in partnership with Western-Urals Sberbank Russia.

The program ‘Providing housing for PMZ employees’ was developed in March 2012. Over the course of 2012, 100 employees will take part and be able to improve their housing conditions.

The first 15 certificate holders are workers, engineering and technical department specialists, line managers, and specialists from the economics and human resources services. They have all already had their chance to buy a home under the PMZ housing program — they have signed contracts to buy apartments using mortgages. The certificate confirms their right to partial compensation for the interest on mortgage payments out of Perm Engine Company funds.

Out of the employees receiving the first certificates, the longest-serving employee is Pavel Stepanovich Volkov, a milling machine operator on machine assembly line 33. He came to the factory in 1975 as a trainee miller and gradually increased his qualifications up to the 6th level. In addition to this, PavelStepanovich has two associated professions and is constantly sharing his knowledge with young workers. In 2012 he won the A. I. Pavlikov factory prize, awarded to the best workers. The housing certificate has allowed him to solve the Volkovs’ housing problems — his wife works on the same line as he does.

And for the happy holder of certificate Number 0001 — OASUPengineer-programmer Yelena Frolova — it made an excellent gift for wedding, which took place just ten days earlier.

Perm Engine Company managing director Aleksey Mikhailyov:

“Developing and confirming the corporate housing program is an important part of the Perm Engine Company’s large-scale development program. We are trying not only to modernize our production and technical base, but also to create an enhanced system of rewards for the best workers and specialists. The housing program is a great achievement for the company, a big step in improving social support for employees, since the factory has not been able to assist workers in getting housing since the Soviet era.

Of course, we would not be able to implement the housing program without our reliable partner, Western Urals Sberbank Russia, with whom we have worked for many years. We have reached the level of partnership at which the bank wants to support our projects not only on production, but also in the social sphere.”

Deputy chairman of Western Urals Sberbank Russia VasilyPalatkin:

"Today Sberbank offers more than 10 different mortgage products, when just two years ago we had only three. The expansion of our product line has allowed us to make mortgages more understandable for borrowers, since each one is now aimed at specific goals connected with acquiring real estate or with construction. But at the same time the primary conditions for most loans are the same — the loan period and requirements for borrowers, and as a rule the interest rate depends on the size of the initial deposit and the borrower category, as well as on the loan period and the program selected.

In the first half of 2012 Western Urals Sberbank Russia has seen an increase in loans to purchase real estate in all areas of service. In particular, housing loans to private individuals have grown more than 30% compared to the same period of last year, and amounted to nearly 10 billion rubles. The bank has issued more than 10.5 thousand such loans. The growth in both volume and number of loans issued can be seen in the Perm region — local residents have taken out about 5.3 thousand loans for a total of more than 4.7 billion rubles since the beginning of 2012.

Perm Engine Company (PMZ) mass produces aviation engines for civil and military applications, as well as industrial gas turbine units for power stations and gas transportation.

PMZ is a part of the United Engine Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of OBORONPROM specializing in engine-building assets.

OBORONPROM is a multi-faceted machine-building group of companies, founded in 2002. It is part of the Russian Technologies group of companies. Its primary activities are helicopter building (Russian Helicopters) and engine-building (UEC).

Sberbank Russia is the largest bank in Russia, with about 27% of the assets of the Russian banking system and roughly 240,000 employees. The founder and main shareholder of Sberbank is the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, which holds more than 60% of the voting shares. Other shareholders are more than 245,000 private and corporate clients. The bank has the largest branch network in Russia — 17 regional banks, about 19,000 branches and internal subdepartments, and subsidiary banks in Kazakhstan, Ukraine, and Belarus, with affiliates in India, and representation in Germany and China.

Western Urals Sberbank Russia works in three Russian regions — Perm region, Urtmurt Republic, and the Republic of Komi. The bank’s network includes 28 departments and 794 subdepartments.

It has a Bank of Russia General License for banking operations number 1481.
