Perm Engine Company holds planned certification of aviation engine production

Perm/28.05.2012 In May 2012 the board of the Aviation Register of the Interstate Aviation Committee (AR IAC) carried out the planned certification of the mass production of the PS-90A, PS-90A1, PS-90A2, and PS-90A-76 aviation engines, as well as the production of parts for the D-30 KU, D-30 KP, D-30-KU-154 engines at Perm Engine Company, under the Aviation RulesAP-21, 21.2D.

Separate comments made by the board in the certification process will not hinder the extension of the validity of the certificate permitting production of the OP-16 PD for the next two years and will fall into the agreement with the AR IAC about terms. The board noted that the existing aviation production at PMZ meets the established requirements and issued a statement aimed at improving it.

Perm Engine Company managing director Aleksey Mikhailyov signed an order on the company’s development of measures to meet the committee’s requirements, agree them with the AR IAC, and ensure acquisition of the OP-16 PD production approval certificate for the next two years.

Perm Engine Company quality director Sergey Tylibtsev:

“Fulfilling the AP-21 Aviation rules is essential to support the production of aviation engines at a modern level. We attract great importance to this audit by state certifying bodies and to meeting their notes. This helps us achieve a high level of quality in our production, to meet market demands.”
