Perm, December 5, 2012

Press Release

General Director of the United Engine Corporation – part of Russian Technologies – Vladislav Masalov visited UEC’s Perm companies and evaluated the potential to drastically increase their efficiency.

As part of his working visit to Perm, Vladislav Masalov visited Star, the Perm Engine Company, and Aviadvigatel, where he held a meeting with the company’s Managing Directors, as well as introduced the teams to the Head of the newly-created division Engines for Civil Aviation, Ilya Fedorov.

“Making engines for civil aviation is one of the main areas in the corporation’s development strategy, that is why it was perfectly logical to create this division within UEC. PMZ, Aviadvigatel, and NPO Saturn, all constituting a part of the new division, will be working in a unified pack, solving the problems they face in a more effective regime of cooperation between themselves and the customers,” said Vladislav Masalov.

In addition, as part of his working visit, Vladislav Masalov discussed with the Perm Region Governor Viktor Basargin the potential for long-term development of UEC’s Perm companies, as well as coordinating the work of UEC and the Perm Region Administration on matters relating to PMZ and Aviadvigatel, as a part of the new division.

Masalov emphasized that the United Engine Corporation intends to increase efficiency at its Perm companies and will continue to cooperate with regional authorities.
