The Ural-6000 GTPP successfully passed all tests, offering a nominal capacity of 6 mW, and was accepted by the client in December 2012.
This is the third Ural-6000 GTPP in the set delivered by the Perm engine builders to the Irkutsk Oil Company. Previous Urals were launched into operation at the Yarktinsky Oil and Gas Field in July 2012 and allowed IOC to increase installed electrical capacity of the existing power plant by 12 mW, increasing the reliability of the local power systems.
The Ural-6000 GTPP power station by Aviadvigatel supplies electricity to practically all installations at the Yaraktinsky Oil and Gas Condensate Field, from drilling units to social infrastructure.
After the launch of the third GTPP, the total installed capacity of the Yaraktinsky OGCF will be more than 30 mW. Installation, testing, and launch of the power station are planned for the second quarter of 2013.
IOC is a group of companies engaged in geological research, exploration, and extraction of petrochemical raw materials at fields and licensed areas in Eastern Siberia and neighboring regions. IOCĺs assets currently include 18 licensed areas, oil and gas fields, including the largest of them, the Yaraktinsky OGCF, which provides more than 80% of the companyĺs total extraction.
