UEC and Siemens agree on cooperation

Today the United Engine Corporation and Siemens signed an agreement on cooperation. The document envisages development of cooperation in power and industrial programs.

The agreement on cooperation was signed by Vladislav Masalov, the General Director of the United Engine Corporation, and Dietrich Mueller, the President of Siemens in Russia.

Under the strategic partnership the two parties are planning to develop joint projects in packaging gas turbine compressor units (GCU), as well as gas turbine power stations and other equipment. In addition, the document envisages localization of production at United Engine Corporation companies making parts for gas turbines and wind-driven generators.

The development of partnership with Siemens will allow us to expand participation in international power projects and will enable promotion of Russian technology on the global market, said Vladislav Masalov, UEC General Director.

The agreement signed today is valid for three years. In fact, UEC has been implementing joint projects together with Siemens since 2012, in particular delivery of equipment for Gazprom, Lukoil, and other clients.

In addition, the companies will cooperate on deliveries of software and intellectual solutions for managing product life cycle (PLM). The relevant memorandum on cooperation was signed between UEC and a subsidiary of the German firm Siemens, Industry Software. Siemens advanced solutions can help modernize production, reduce costs, and increase production volumes, as well as improve labour productivity, and energy-efficiency and eco-friendliness of production.
