Saturn Gas Turbines wins 11 medals at the Rostech – Russian Corporate Games summer competition

June 14, 2013. June 9-12, 2013 at the Luzhniki Olympic complex in Moscow, the summer competition Rostech — Russian Corporate Games was held — the largest Russian mass sports events. The Saturn Gas Turbines team had brilliant results, winning 11 medals in a variety of disciplines.

The event was organized by Rostech, the Russian Industrialists Union, the ‘Sport’ Fund for support and development of physical fitness, and Sport Directorship of Corporate Games. The chairman of the organizing committee was S.V. Chemezov, General Director of Rostech, chairman of the Sport Fund council, and member of the Higher Council of the United Russia party.

Competition included the following types of sports: soccer, mini-soccer, basketball, streetball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, ping-pong, pistol shooting, rifle shooting, target shooting, skeet-shooting, paintball, carting, swimming, beach volleyball, beach soccer, track and field, velo-cycling, bowling, chess, checkers, dominoes, backgammon, darts, fuzball, table hockey, tug-o-war, renju, billiards (Russian), pool, judo, weight-lifting, rugby, gorodki, golf, and softball.

The Saturn Gas Turbines team won 8 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

The great result from the company team was the result of systematic work by the company’s leadership to develop sports, promote a healthy life-style, and attract staff to various sports events. The Saturn Gas Turbines team has won the ‘Spartakiad’ at NPO Saturn in 2011 and 2012 and is the peerless leader in this season’s competitions.
