Salyut for the third time is organizing the annual youth technical forum TechBREAKTHROUGH, which will be held June
TechBREAKTHROUGH is a technology of learning, specially developed to train employees of industrial companies engaged in developed and manufacturing machine-building products. The main areas of the forum are training employees in various services of the company to cooperate effectively and to achieve results and goals quickly.
More than 100 young employees under 35 will be taking part in TechBREAKTHROUGH, from Salyut, UMPO, Kuznetsov, Klimov, and other UEC companies.
In 2012 in the Stimul Open Regional Festival of Working Youth (Khanty-Mansiik), TechBREAKTHROUGH won in the category “Lift”, as the best project expanding opportunities for career, professional, and material development of young specialists. The project was recommended for implementation at Russian machine-building companies. And so the TechBREAKTHROUGH technology for training and education is being used as part of the educational program at national and regional forums by the Industrialists Union.
One of the latest examples of the TechBREAKTHROUGH format was the OBORONPROM and Salyut educational program at the regional forum Engineers of the Future in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Head of the Forum, head of Salyut’s production systems and curator of the Moscow regional section of the Russian Industrialists Union, Ilya Garankin, told us how TechBREAKTHROUGH will be implemented:
“The Forum will take the form of a business game, in which under conditions as realistic as possible, participants must prepare a project for production of a new product and develop a market-launch strategy.
The business game will take place at a working production facility under tight competition with limited time and resources. As in real life, the participants will have to work with RosTechNadzor, civil servants, and suppliers, and where necessary increase their skills in the Study Center, and use finances wisely — Techno$ — so as not to go bankrupt or become in debt to the Bank.
All the participants will be divided into six teams, which over three working days will have to prepare design and technical documentation, conduct transparency and economic accounting, plan equipment and preparations, conduct market research, develop a system to motivate and select personnel, and most importantly create a prototype.
The forum program also includes subject-based training aimed at increasing knowledge levels, skills and team-building, master classes on lean production, and cultural and recreational events.
The results of the forum will determine the best engineering team, as well as prizes and winners in the following categories:
To win, teams will have to work well and work together, fulfil the tasks, and prove at the ‘Engineering Duel’ that their project is better than the other teams”.
The winners will take part in the Engineers of the Future forum in the Irkutsk region, where OBORONPROM and Salyut are organizing a TechBREAKTHROUGH faculty of strategic management.
