On June 28 the administration of the Perm Region hosted an awards ceremony for the graduates of the Presidential program to prepare management staff to organize the national economy of the Russian Federation. Greetings and parting words were delivered by the head of the Perm Region government, Alexei Chibisov, head of the higher education institution which serves as the base for the training under the presidential program, as well as heads of the companies whose participants went through the training — PromOil, Perm Engine Company, and Aviadvigatel.
Among those finishing the program were eight employees of the Perm Engine Company — representatives from the manufacturing, commercial, and economic departments, as well as the quality control service and the information policy department.
As part of the training, all participants successfully defended projects on themes topical for the companies, some of which are already being implemented.
Perm Engine Company Director of Personnel, Irina Sudilovskaya:
“In selecting the candidates to undergo the management reserve training program, we use criteria such as ambition, the ability to apply non-standard solutions to complex problems, flexibility, and systematic through processes, and proactivity. This program is special for its project-oriented approach. The projects presented by the trainees must be implemented ‘today’. With the aim of improving quality and feasibility, to implement the projects developed in such training it is essential to attract managers for these areas and to retain them and their responsibility.”
Congratulating the graduates on finishing their training, Perm Engine Company Managing Director Sergei Popov said:
“Today our company faces big tasks. And in order to achieve our ambitious goals, we are betting on our young people. They are the ones who must implement our plans to retool and rebuild the company, to create centers of technological excellence, improve labor productivity, reduce production losses, and lower the cost of our production. When a company has talented young people, it has a future. Our company has these young people. We have you.”
