UEC to deliver 3,000 tons of equipment to the Bovanenkovskoye oil and gas condensate field

August 12, 2013. Saturn Gas Turbines has begun delivery of GTN-16 16 kW gas transportation units.

The equipment is intended to organize extraction of natural gas at one of the largest gas fields in Russia Ś the Bovanenkovskoye OGCF. In 2013 the company plans to deliver to GTN-16s, with a further five units planned for delivery in 2014. The total weight of all the units is more than 3,000 tons. Delivery of the units is taking place under an order of Gazprom Extraction Nadym, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom. The Bovanenkovskoye OGCF is a huge gas field on Yamal in Russia, located 40 kilometers from the Kara Sea, along the lower courses of the Se-Yakha, Mordyyakha, and Naduy-Yakha rivers. It is close to the village of Bovanenkovo.

The planned capacity of the field is up to 140 billion cubic meters of gas. This field is strategically significant for the development of the Russian economy and for implementation of the program to bring gas to the Russian regions as well as exporting it abroad.
