NPO Saturn at MAKS 2013: signing international agreements to create educational programs for companies in the regional Gas Turbine Construction and Power Machine Construction cluster in the Yaroslavl region

August 27, 2013, Rybinsk. On August 27, 2013, at the International Youth Forum “The Future of Aviation and Space for Russian Youth” at the International Aviation and Space Salon MAKS 2013, international agreements were signed on creating educational programs for companies in the regional Gas Turbine Construction and Power Machine Construction cluster in the Yaroslavl Region.

A memorandum of understanding on creating a training center for the UEC civil aviation engine division based on educational establishments in the innovative regional cluster Gas Turbine Construction and Power Machine Construction in the Yaroslavl Region was signed by the cluster organiser and coordinator NPO Saturn represented by Ilya Fedorov, Managing Director, by the Safran corporate university represented by the head of the university Gilbert Fon, and by the Solovyev RGATU represented by rector Valery Poletaev with support from the Government of the Yaroslavl Region represented by the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region, Sergei Yastrebov.

The Safran Corporate University provided NPO Saturn with help in organizing educational courses.

The second agreement on creating study programs for the center for training engineering and management staff for UEC’s civil engine division on the basis of educational establishments of the innovative regional cluster Gas Turbine Construction and Power Machine Construction of the Yaroslavl Region was signed by cluster coordinator NPO Saturn represented by Ilya Fedorov, Managing Director , by MGCM University represented by president Anandi Roi and by Solovyev RGATU represented by rector Valery Poletaev with support from the Government of the Yaroslavl region represented by Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Sergei Yastrebov.

The agreement was signed with the aim of training specialists from cluster companies and companies that are part of UEC’s civil engine division on educational standards formed by the international non-profit educational organization APICS, implementing a program of standardization and certification of specialists in the area of operative production management.

Creating educational programs with the participation of leading international educational partners will allow the company to form regional competencies in the cluster area in the field of air and space production, at an international level.
