American Petroleum Institute confirms that Saturn Gas Turbines quality management systems meet international API Speq Q1 standards

02.10.2013, Rybinsk. Saturn Gas Turbines (a part of the United Engine Corporation) has successfully passed the first stage of an audit by the American Petroleum Institute on meeting the API Speq Q1 standards. The project, aimed at getting a certificate of compliance for the companyís quality management systems with the API standards, is running at the company under the ĎCompany Development Strategy through to 2021í. The strategy, one of the key tasks of which is to bring Saturn Gas Turbines products to the international market, envisages bringing quality management systems into line with acknowledged international standards. The industry-oriented standard API Specification Q1 includes, in additional to the requirement set out in ISO 9001, special requirement relating to the oil and gas industry. The company, in meeting the requirements of this certification, is demonstrating to its clients that it can meet the most modern standards for suppliers in the oil and gas industry in the USA, Europe, and Asia. The second stage of certification under the API Speq Q1 standard includes running an audit at Saturn Gas Turbines by specialists from the American Petroleum Institute, which is planned for November 2013.
