Saturn Gas Turbines has begun delivering two GPA-5.5 (5.5 mW) gas transportation units, made in cooperation with American company Solar Turbines

08.10.2013, Rybinsk. Saturn Gas Turbines (a part of United Engine Corporation) has begun delivery of two GPA 5.5 gas transportation units each of 5.5 mW capacity, created on the basis of the industrial Taurus 60 gas turbine made by American company Solar Turbines. The units will be part of the Northern local gas transportation facility (Gazprom transgaz St. Petersburg) and in the Severnaya compressor station will be transporting gas to Scandinavian region countries. The GPA-5.5 based on the Taurus 60 embodies the practical realization of joint projects between Saturn Gas Turbines and Solar Turbines (USA) and is the first example of equipment delivered to Gazprom under this partnership.
