Preparing for and holding the technological forum was one of the points of agreement on cooperation within the framework of the innovative territorial cluster Gas turbine and Power Plant Engineering, which NPO Saturn as the organizer and coordinator of the cluster, and the economic union of Saxony in the field of aviation and space (ASIS) and machine building (VEMAS) have signed on August 28, 2013, at the International Air and Space Salon in Zhukovski.
As part of the visit to the territorial innovative cluster Gas turbine and Power Plant Engineering, the representatives from the Saxon economy in Russia, M. Libel and F. Hagen visited the Kopaevo industrial part, the cluster companies, and at NPO Saturn took part in a meeting on the issue of holding an international technological forum.
The meeting also included deputy governor of the Yaroslavl region D. M. Sekretarev, head of the department of economic development and investment for Rybinsk Yu. S. Dmitrieva, and the director for innovative development at NPO Saturn, D. S. Ivanov.
Following the results of the meeting it was decided to hold on March
According to NPO Saturn’s director for innovative development Dmitriy Ivanov, “the main goal of the technological forum is to search together with the leading international companies and representatives of the scientific community in Russia and Germany for specific technological solutions that will enable us to lower the cost of production in the cluster, and find new joint points of growth and new chains to add value. It is very important that we have found reliable international partners, in the shape of the representatives of the Saxon economy, who share our values and strategic development aimed at broad international cooperation.”
Doctor Manfred Libel said, ‘the representatives of the Saxon economy have long considered Russia not only to be a potential market for goods and services, but also a place to create new high-tech products. The innovative territorial cluster Gas turbine and power machine construction in the Yaroslavl region, in our opinion, is one of such promising areas for joint projects. The confirmation of this is the desire of more than 25 German companies and leading scientific institutions to take part in the upcoming forum. And the support provided by regional and municipal authorities guarantees that this event will proceed in accordance with the highest international standards."
