ROSNANO, Inter RAO, NPO Saturn and TsIET have signed an investment agreement to create the GTD-110M

December 27, 2013, Rybinsk — Moscow hosted the signing of an investment agreement between Rosnano, Inter RAO, NPO Saturn and TsIET on an innovative project to create a high-capacity Russian gas turbine engine, the GTD-110M, using nanotechnology.

The project to create the GTD-110M fully conforms to the Russian government’s confirmed subprogram ‘Power electrical machines and machine building’ under the state program ‘Development of industry and increasing its competitiveness’, aimed at supporting Russian producers of gas turbine equipment. The project period is 2014-2017. The overall budget for the project is 2.5 billion rubles.

The GTD-110M is a next-generation, large-capacity Russian gas turbine engine. The GTD-110M is intended for use at generation facilities as the main CHP and power units in the capacity range of 110 mW to 500 mW and as replacement capacity during technical retooling of delivered physical resources on gas-vapour units.

NPO Saturn is today the only Russian manufacturer of large capacity (over 60 mW) gas turbine engines for electrical generation facilities.
