Perm Industrial modifications to the PS-90A — 10 million hours “on the ground”

In January 2014 the total number of hours worked by 10-25 mW capacity gas turbine units created by Aviadvigatel reached 10 million since the beginning of operations.

On the basis of the PS-90A aviation engine, which has worked with great success on the wing of the best Russian airlines the Il and the Tu, Perm designers have developed and implemented into operation a line of gas turbine units (GTUs) for industrial applications:

As of the beginning of January 2014 the fleet of gas turbine units based on the PS-90A amounted to 509 GTUs (out of these 64 are for power generation and 445 for transporting oil and gas) with a total capacity of more than 7.6 gW.

And the productivity of industrial gas turbine units at the Perm design firm doesn’t end there — 218 gas turbines in the 2.5-6 mW capacity class, created on the basis of the D-30 aviation engine are no less successful in implementation at Russian fuel and energy installations. These modifications have worked nearly 6 million hours. For more than 20 years the GTUs developed by Aviadvigatel have been ceaselessly working at facilities belonging to the largest gas and power companies, including Gazprom, Lukoil, Surgutneftegaz, Bashkirskaya Generating Company, Rosneft, and others.

Aviadvigatel’s calling card is high quality. The particular advantages of gas turbines made in Perm are the high efficiency set against low costs for servicing and repair. The many years of operation of Perm GTUs have confirmed their reliability and efficiency.

Additional information

Aviadvigatel not only works in developing gas turbine equipment, it also carries out testing, delivery, installation, launch work, client personnel training, turn-key facility construction, and also a broad range of services including technical servicing of equipment across the entire life cycle.

The advantages of Aviadvigatel’s branded technical servicing are:
