Ufa Engine Industrial Association (a subsidiary of United Engine Corporation, part of Oboronprom) with cooperation from the Bashkortostan Republic division of the Russian Industrialists Union is holding an action in support of Crimea.
In order to help residents of Crimea who are in a difficult financial situation and are suffering as a result of political changes to pensions and other social payments and provisions, machine-builders are voluntarily sending part of their wages via the Bashkortostan division of Soyuzmash in aid of the Crimean republic. Each employee decides for himself how much to send to those in need.
At the entrance to the company beginning on March 17, volunteers from Soyuzmash have been passing out pamphlets ’UMPO for Crimea’ to all who want them. On the back of the literature is a form to arrange transfer of funds. The employees write in the sum that they are ready to send to residents of Crimea, and give the form to the designated person in their division. The action to gather funds will continue all week.
