Turnover of UEC division Engines for Military Aviation in 2013 amounted to 45 billion rubles

On preliminary data for 2013 the total turnover of companies that are part of the United Engine Corporation (a subsidiary of Oboronprom, part of state corporation Rostech) division Engines for Military Aviation ó Ufa Engine Industrial Association, Motor, and the Moscow Chernyshev machine-building plant ó was 45 billion rubles. Compared to 2012 the divisionís turnover was up 38%.

The growth in turnover for Engines for Military Aviation was due primarily to the growth shown by the divisionís lead company ó Ufa Engine Industrial Association ó the companyís 2013 turnover was 37.7 billion rubles, which was 48% more than in 2012.

ďIn 2014 the UEC division Engines for Military AviationĒ is planning to increase turnover by expanding state contracts and contracts on military-technical cooperation," said UMPO managing director Aleksandr Artyukhov.

Ufa Engine Industrial Association is the largest producer of aviation engines in Russia. Its main types of activity are the development, production, and servicing and repair of turbojet aviation engines and gas transportation units, as well as production and repair of nodes for helicopter technology.

The Engines for Military Aviation division is a business unit of the United Engine Corporation, which includes companies and design firms specializing in the manufacture and development of aviation engines for military applications.

More than 85% of the leading companies specializing in the development, mass production, and aftersales servicing of gas turbine technology are integrated into UEC, as well as key companies selectors of the industry. United Industrial Corporation OBORONPROM is a multi-faceted machine-building group founded in 2002. It is part of the Russian Technologies group of companies. Its primary areas of business are helicopters (Russian Helicopters) and engine-building (UEC).

Rostech is a Russian corporation founded in 2007 to facilitate the development, production, and export of high-tech industrial products for civil and military applications. Altogether, Russian Technologies encompasses 663 organizations. The corporation includes 8 holdings in the military-industrial complex, and five in civilian industry. The corporation works in 60 constituent regions of the Russian Federation and supplies products to more than 70 countries around the world. Its 2012 turnover was 931 billion rubles, with net profit of 38.5 billion rubles. It paid a total of 109 billion rubles in taxes at all budget levels.
