UEC at HeliRussia 2020

Rostecs United Engine Corporation (UEC) at the XIII International Helicopter Industry Exhibition HeliRussia showcased its helicopter powerplant segment  VK-2500PS-03 and TV7-117V turboshaft engines developed and produced by St.Petersburg-based UEC-Klimov and intended respectively for Mi-171A2 and Mi-38 helicopters. HeliRussia expo took place in Moscow from 15th to 17th September.

VK-2500PS is the latest development in the VK-2500/TV3-117 engine family equipped with an anti-surge protection system and a brand-new FADEC control system. The time between overhaul and assigned service life is two times higher than that of its predecessor. The basic application of VK-2500PS is civil Mi-171A2 helicopter.

The brand-new TV7-117V engine powers the latest Russian Mi-38 heavy utility helicopter. As the developer points out, the main advantages of the engine are: the latest FADEC control system, low rate of the specific fuel consumption, the ability to start and operate the engine at high altitudes, high reliability, operation on condition. The engine can be used in air temperature range from −60 º to +50 º and at flight altitudes from 300 m to 6500 m.
